Clothing- Days

Plan your outfits in layers- the weather can change quickly in the Alps. Most days you might consider the following set up:

  • A light wind & shower proof jacket
  • a tech jacket/jumper
  • a light long sleeve top
  • t-shirt/singlet top
  • Something comfy to wear in-between adventures- perhaps soft pants & a jumper
  • Don’t forget the basics- enough socks & underwear to get you through your stay!

Nights

Summer nights are generally cool (and sometimes plain cold!). Dining in Galtür is on the scale from casual to smart casual. Jeans and a shirt/jumper will get you through the evenings.

*Hot tip*

Evening walks are highly recommended, the sky is spectacular here. On a cloudless night you feel like you are walking amongst the stars. And a full moon feels almost as bright as the sun. Dress really warm for this activity! And maybe bring a headlamp or torch.

*Please note...

... we think we have created a pretty thorough packing list here. You probably will not need all of the items we’ve listed, they are just things that we consider worth thinking about. But when it comes to the technical sports in the Alps, this should not be taken lightly. If you are not experienced yourself, please seek the advice of a professional or another experienced person.
