Skiing & Snowboarding are without a doubt the number one activities for winter visitors in the Paznauan Valley. Our high altitude means that winter is long and the snow is preserved well into Spring, meaning we can confidently call ourselves "snow-sure."

The ski area in Galtür, the Silvapark 1.5 km from the Galtürerhof, the Galtür Hotel, or just 1 stop on the free ski bus. If you still have energy at the end of the day, you can ski directly to our back door along the cross-country ski trail (with a little pushing you are at the hotel in 5 minutes, not recommended for snowboarders!)

Night Skiing

On Wednesday nights the slopes at Wirl are lit up for skiiers and boarders to keep the excitement going into the night. Whizzing down the piste under a starry sky brings a very special and exhilarating feeling. The mountain huts stay open late for apres-ski fun.

The Silvretta Ski Safari

A great adventure for young and old. Take the snowcat to the Zeinisjoch, then by ski through the forest towards Montafon. Once you arrived there, take the Vermuntbahn and the tunnel taxi back to the Bielerhöhe. Enjoy the view of the Silvretta lake and the Piz Buin. After a lunch break, you return through the Vermunt valley back to Galtür

Freeriding & Off Piste

If you are up for a backcountry adventure grab a guide and head off-piste. In the Paznauan Valley there are myriad possibilities for off-piste skiing/boarding for all levels from absolute beginner to expert, with or without a ski touring (hiking) component.

    Yes. Galtür lies at an altitude of around 1,600 metres above sea level and, thanks to its high-alpine location, offers excellent conditions for a winter holiday with guaranteed snow. The peak season, with consistent snow conditions, is usually between December and March.
